Everyone in our team has a different story to tell, whether like us they fell in love with Skye and moved here from somewhere else, or like many of our team they were born and bred here. What we all share is a love of the place we live in and a passion for making your stay as enjoyable as possible. So, if you would like information on where to go, what to see and a little of the culture please speak to anyone of us and we’ll be delighted to help.
Anne and Billy Harley
We moved here in 2013 and are passionate about all things Skye. We love to walk our dogs along the beach and take a trip out on the water in our little boat.
The Kitchen Crew
Donald our Head Chef is Scottish born and bred. He loves using the local ingredients like langoustines from the bay and red deer from the hills.
Donald is joined by a team from all over the world; Joe our Sous Chef is a Highland boy and Alex and Evgeni are from Bulgaria.
The Bar and Restaurant Team
Our Operations Manager John originates from Edinburgh but has lived on the island for many years. He loves to sail, walk the hills and travel the islands in his campervan. Ask him about whisky, another of his passions, he will help you make a choice from our great selection.
Wee John was born and bred on Skye and during the day works his croft tending his sheep. He also speaks the Gaelic and will be happy to share a word or two with you!
Katie Ann can also be found out with her family’s sheep up on the Fairy Glen when she’s not busy in the restaurant. She knows everyone on Skye and can tell you a few stories!
Many of the team originated from other parts of the world; Annette from Germany, Piotr from Poland, and Lynne from Surrey! All have been in Uig for some time and love to share their experiences and sightseeing tips with the guests.
Our Senior Housekeeper Chris Ann has lived here all her life and is loved by everyone especially Rosie and Ziggy the hotel dogs. They follow her everywhere especially when she is putting out the shortbread! Chris Ann is assisted by two other Skye girls Janet and Jeanette, whose family’s have a tradition of raising sheep in Uig for centuries!
